Delta Brain Waves:

When you go back to basics with brain waves, Delta waves tend to show as blue on a scan and these brain waves are dominant when you are sleeping.  If you had an MRI, you would still see the other colors of brain waves but the dominant waves during sleep are Delta brain waves. When your body is shut down - quiet - resting.
