This piece is similar to Symphony in Purple as I had a certain color palette in mind and was letting the music guide the palette knife.  I like the reds and yellows.  I think they make each other pop.  I felt like this piece had flight, some kind of lifting of the spirit.  The Phoenix or Firebird is a bird that has many stories about it and what it symbolizes.  The main one is that the Firebird is a bird that flies around giving hope to people.  The rise of the phoenix is like the ascending of the spirit - uplifting.  I felt like this piece was a Firebird.
